Pick the airport after planning the islands
The Philippines itinerary often moves between islands, so the arrival city and departure city may differ. Decide where the final nights will be spent before selecting the onward flight.
Manila uses MNL, Cebu uses CEB and Clark uses CRK. Each can support an international departure, but route choice varies by airport and date.
Routes from Manila
Manila offers the broadest international network. Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei and Seoul are common regional directions for a journey continuing through Asia.
Check terminal information and allow enough time when a separate domestic flight arrives in Manila before the international sector.
Routes from Cebu
A Cebu departure avoids returning to Manila after a Visayas itinerary. Direct international options can connect the trip to regional hubs, depending on the operating day and season.
Use CEB on the reservation and make the onward date follow the final island transfers with enough margin.
When Clark makes more sense
Clark can suit travellers finishing north of Manila or those who prefer not to cross the capital to reach MNL. Choose CRK only when the ground transfer fits the actual location.
Compare the final stop, airport transfer and route availability before deciding.
- MNL → SIN or KUL
- CEB → regional hub
- CRK → Bangkok or another scheduled international destination
- MNL → Taipei, Seoul or Hong Kong
