Start with the passenger block
Compare the passenger name with the passport data page character by character. Family-name order, missing names and spelling errors are easier to fix before the document is submitted or presented.
For several travellers, confirm that every passenger appears. One shared PNR can contain several people, but each name should be visible in the record.
Translate every airport code
Airport codes identify the actual endpoints. BKK and DMK are both associated with Bangkok but are separate airports. HND and NRT serve Tokyo, while PEK and PKX serve Beijing.
Read each origin-destination pair in sequence. The arrival airport of one segment should connect sensibly with the departure airport of the next.
- BKK: Bangkok Suvarnabhumi
- DMK: Bangkok Don Mueang
- HND: Tokyo Haneda
- NRT: Tokyo Narita
- DPS: Bali Denpasar
- MNL: Manila
Check local dates and overnight flights
International flights can arrive on the next calendar day. Look at the departure date and arrival date separately, especially when matching accommodation or an appointment.
Confirm that the onward sector occurs after the planned stay and that the date has not shifted because of a time-zone assumption.
Find the carrier and flight number
The two-letter airline code and number identify the service. A codeshare can display both a marketing carrier and an operating carrier, so the airline named first on the PDF may not be the one operating the aircraft.
