Do not use a nickname, shortened first name, married name that is absent from the passport, or a local-language translation. The reservation should identify the same person as the travel document.
Many passports place first and middle names together under given names. If the booking form has only given name and surname fields, keep all passport given names in the given-name field and the passport surname in the surname field.
Compound family names should remain together when the form permits spaces. Hyphens and apostrophes may be normalized by airline systems, and the delivered display can join words. What matters is that the identity components correspond to the passport fields.
| Passport shows | Enter as given name | Enter as surname |
|---|---|---|
| Given: MARIA ELENA / Surname: GARCIA LOPEZ | MARIA ELENA | GARCIA LOPEZ |
| Given: JEAN-PAUL / Surname: MARTIN | JEAN-PAUL | MARTIN |
| Given: MOHAMMED ALI / Surname: KHAN | MOHAMMED ALI | KHAN |
| Given: ANA / Surname: D'SOUZA | ANA | D'SOUZA |
Some passports contain a name in only one of the two identity fields. Airline reservation systems still commonly expect both a given-name and surname value, so the handling can depend on the carrier and reservation system.
When the passport has a blank surname or blank given-name field, use the booking convention supported by the service rather than inventing a second personal name. Contact support before payment if the form cannot represent the passport clearly.
Process one passport at a time. Complete the first passenger, compare the screen with that passport and only then move to the next. This prevents repeated given names, missing children and surname assumptions.
After all passengers are added, count the form entries against the number of passports. The itinerary price is per passenger because every person needs an individual identity entry even when everyone shares one route and PNR.
Place them in the same order you will enter passengers.
Use given names and surname, not the visual line order.
Finish both fields before opening another passport.
Match every booking entry to one passport.
Airline systems can display names in uppercase, remove spaces or attach a title. MARIA ELENA GARCIA can appear as GARCIA/MARIAELENA MS. That format is not automatically an error when the underlying name components remain intact.
Focus on missing, added or misspelled identity components. A joined middle name is different from a completely different surname. Compare letters and field meaning rather than expecting the PDF to copy passport typography.
Locate the passenger section and read every name character by character. Then verify that the correct people are attached to the intended route and dates. If the document contains a real input error, contact support with the SD order number and the corrected passport spelling.
Do not wait until an appointment or check-in desk to inspect the file. SafeDummyTicket delivery within 2 minutes leaves time for an immediate review while the entered information is still available.
The route can be perfect and the PNR can be live, but the document still belongs to the name recorded in the booking. Accurate identity entry is therefore the highest-value minute in the order process.
Prepare every passport, copy the labelled fields and use an email address you can open. The reservation will then arrive ready for a quick passenger-by-passenger audit.
If it appears in the passport's given-names field, include it with the given name when the form supports it.
Yes. Some reservation displays join names or add titles. Compare the letters and identity components, not only the spacing.
Use the passport name rather than a nickname or shortened social name.
